I’ve been a bit slow in writing the next set of these posts, but don’t worry they’re on the way! Today I want to talk a bit of a weird technique I use to help stop me faffing and make sure I get at least some of my goals achieved. I like to think I’m ambitious, which is great, but I’m also quite indecisive which means I end up with lots of different grand plans. Plans to open an online shop, plans to improve my blog, plans to start doing more crafts… I have lots of plans.
Today I’ve really been pondering how it’s the simple things that make us happy and for me this is optimised by the simple notion of breakfast in bed. There’s no greater feeling than waking up to a perfect up of tea and toast smothered in your favourite raspberry jam.
Love is in the air and wedding planning is on full go! I’m hoping to take you along with me every step of the way as there’s sure to be loads of DIY decorations and crafts to blog about. But for now, I wanted to share this book I made for Adam last year as all this lovey-dovey fun and creativity reminded me about it!
This months Papergang subscription box helps support a wonderful cause, the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. This was great as it meant the whole box was Bumblebee themed which I could definitely get on board with.
It’s been a crazy couple of months for me and with wedding planning started to get into full swing I thought it might be time to really start trying to look after my skin. I already have a great skincare routine I love, but I wanted to try a few of the things I’d been putting off and one of these was trying out a face mask for the first time. I know, I know, that’s crazy… but for some reason I had it in my head that using face masks would bring me out in spots. In all fairness this isn’t 100% untrue.
We’ve all got dreams and goals and the only way to achieve them is to work hard and put in the effort. If I’m completely honest, this blog has taken up so much more of my free time than I think I could ever have imagined beforehand but I don’t regret it. If I didn’t love it I’d have quit a long time ago and 1 year on I’m feeling pretty happy about the progression I’ve made and how I have managed to streamline my content creation (to a certain extent). I guess I just want to say how proud I am of this blog and can’t wait to see where the future takes it.
A couple of weeks ago I was invited by the lovely Katie of Katie Kirk Loves to attend an event at Bluebelle & Co in Brighton where we would had free reign of the shop after hours and plenty of opportunity to look at all the different bits and bobs they have in store. It was a bit of a drizzly day but Lauren was so welcoming and had put out lots of lovely snacks and drinks whilst we all wandered about.
