My Pumpkin Adventure

Last Saturday I had the most autumnal day possible with coffee in the morning, a nice autumn walk and a trip to Slindon to pick up some pumpkins. It may not quite be a pumpkin patch where you can pick your own, but in a way it was better than that due to just the vast variety of pumpkins, gourds and squash available. Slindon just seems to be really pretty anyway, with loads of the houses covered in leaves and quaint little paths to walk down. Every year for charity, Slindon Pumpkins creates a pumpkin display that you can come and view (for free if you wish) and it really was impressive. This year the charity isย Sussex Wildlife Trust and depicted flowers with bees buzzing around them.

Lordington Lavender

Lordington Lavender

Last Saturday I took my gran to Lordington Lavender, home of the only known Lavender Farm in West Sussex. They have a few open days once a year and after seeing the event advertised on Facebook, thought it’d be the perfect summer day activity.ย On the way back down the hill I even got my gran in the back of the very bumpy tractor pulled box, which I don’t think is an experience she’s going to forget in a hurry!
