A couple of weekends ago Adam and I went for lovely walk in Arundel and it was the perfect opportunity to pop into one of my favourite brunch spots. The Loft is situated right at the top of a shop called Sparks Yard which sells all sorts of quirky homeware and hosts a menu of breakfast, brunch and lunch items from pancakes to burgers.
Over the past few months I’ve been trying to pay much more attention to what I’m eating and putting in my body. Now, don’t get me wrong… I’m still all about treats but am trying to take a more ‘everything in moderation approach’ so that I can enjoy these even more.
As you may know, I love a subscription box so when I found out about Ethical Kitchen, I couldn’t pass up the chance for coffee, chocolate and snacks delivered to my door.
Last Wednesday I had the loveliest evening with some of my favourite girls, catching up and chit-chatting at Paradiso Bar & Dining, which has just opened up at 38 Preston Road in Brighton!
Paradiso pitch themselves as a relaxed and casual dining space where you can come down, have a drink and eat some food and it certainly delivers on all of the above. Currently sporting an introductory menu of mainly burgers and sandwiches it’s the perfect place for a quick get-together with friends. They also have a good selection of beers and most importantly a great cocktail menu with something for everyone.
Something very exciting has happened to my little town. Small Batch has come to Worthing! For those of you that don’t know, Small Batch is a Brighton based company who make the most delicious cups of coffee and do everything from your standard Cappuccino to a more exotic single brewed origin coffee. Whatever you chose, all their coffee is delicious. Since opening a shop in Worthing and becoming wildly more convenient for me and Adam, we’ve been there a lot.
Angel Food Bakery never disappoints. Situated in the middle of the South Lanes of Brighton, they sell the most delicious cupcakes. I love to order these as a birthday treat for my nearest and dearest, but also love to pop in for a cheeky treat when my feet are starting to hurt from a long day shopping.
First stop for food is Tortilla, Brighton. By no means a little company, with 28 restaurants across the UK, this may seem like an odd choice to scream and shout about. However, for a really quick lunch/snack in the centre of Brighton, this really is my favourite destination. As quick as ordering McDonalds but 10 times as tasty, it wins every time.
