I know, I know, MORE pancakes… but there’s no such thing as too many pancakes right? Anyway, this year the greatest holiday/celebration (Pancake Day/Shrove Tuesday) falls the day before Valentines so I thought it’d be rude not to combine the two somehow as what could possible show true love more?
Pancake day is fast approaching so for me right now, they’re the only thing on my mind, but no matter what day or week of the year it is, let’s be honest, it just doesn’t get much better. Recently I’ve been looking at different toppings to try with the fluffy American kind of pancake and saw a few with yoghurt on… this really intrigued me and once I gave it a go I couldn’t believed I’d never tried it before! What I love about the yoghurt and fruit is the really fresh taste it gives the pancakes, perfect for when the weather is a bit warmer or you don’t want anything too heavy.
Christmas is practically upon us, but in case you do have a few hours spare over the weekend, I have a perfectly easy Christmas bake for you! I was inspired by a bake from Little Sunny Kitchen and although my cheery snowmen are by no means perfect, they nonetheless tasted great and brought a smile to lots of faces! It’s perfect to do with small children, as the recipe is simple and not too time consuming and I’m sure they could be brought even more to life with some hats or scarves to keep them warm! Already looking forward to giving these another go so I’ve included all the recipe details below!
I’m starting to try and eat a bit healthier and I’ve been increasingly seeing images of delicious looking smoothie bowls creeping up across my Instagram feed. One of my worst habits is not having any breakfast so I thought I’d try and dip my toe into smoothie bowl land.
A couple of weekends ago Adam and I went for lovely walk in Arundel and it was the perfect opportunity to pop into one of my favourite brunch spots. The Loft is situated right at the top of a shop called Sparks Yard which sells all sorts of quirky homeware and hosts a menu of breakfast, brunch and lunch items from pancakes to burgers.
Over the past few months I’ve been trying to pay much more attention to what I’m eating and putting in my body. Now, don’t get me wrong… I’m still all about treats but am trying to take a more ‘everything in moderation approach’ so that I can enjoy these even more.
As you may know, I love a subscription box so when I found out about Ethical Kitchen, I couldn’t pass up the chance for coffee, chocolate and snacks delivered to my door.
Last Wednesday I had the loveliest evening with some of my favourite girls, catching up and chit-chatting at Paradiso Bar & Dining, which has just opened up at 38 Preston Road in Brighton!
Paradiso pitch themselves as a relaxed and casual dining space where you can come down, have a drink and eat some food and it certainly delivers on all of the above. Currently sporting an introductory menu of mainly burgers and sandwiches it’s the perfect place for a quick get-together with friends. They also have a good selection of beers and most importantly a great cocktail menu with something for everyone.
