I think I have. I can’t remember now which beauty blogger I saw raving about this foundation but when I read the review I knew I had to try it out… and I’m so pleased I did. In the past I’ve often gone for foundations with less coverage as my pale complexion means I’m wary of looking orange but I thought it was time to try something a bit more robust and I have been using this ever since.
If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know that I was invited to a Benefit Cosmetics event on 27th March in Brighton. I was so excited when I received the email as I love Benefit Cosmetics so a chance to go along to an event of theirs was a bit of a dream come true. The invite promised talks from the lovely Lola Hoad and Tashie Tinks, as well as lots of bubbles and an appearance by the gorgeous BrowMobile… and it certainly didn’t disappoint! I didn’t know anybody else going to the event but I do find this forces you to talk to people and I met some really lovely girls. (I did also realise afterwards that I already followed a few of the people I saw around but didn’t chat to #oops)
I love Benefit, you love Benefit, everyone loves Benefit… so when I got the Benefit Most Wanted Mascara Line-up set for Christmas (how long ago was that?!) I was over the moon. I’d used the BADgal lash before and had heard amazing things about Roller Lash so I was really excited to try this out. What I was really interested in though was being able to directly compare all 3 of their mascaras against each other… so without any more further-ado…
So, first off I want to know why nobody told me about this before?! Turns out Feel Unique have a service where you can pick 5 sample items and get them delivered to your door for just a £3.95 shipping and handling fee! It’s also called Pick’n’Mix which is a really adorable name. I love trying out a new product and some of the samples they have on here are amazing. You can order your samples once a month and if you decide to later buy a full size product, you can use your £3.95 towards it. Another great thing about this is that the products seem to regularly change, as it took me a few weeks of checking back before I finally placed my first order, by which time new products had emerged. This will be great for trying out different products month to month! Anyway, I thought I’d write a little review of the products I picked.
A couple if months back I was given a tube of Dr.PAWPAW, a multipurpose soothing balm that can be used for lips, skin, hair and beauty finishing, cuticles and nails. A 25ml tube retails at £6.95 and is made in the UK from a mixture of natural ingredients including (obviously) paw paw. It promises a lot and I was a little skeptial at first, but as I’m always trying to decrease the amount of stuff I carry around in my handbag, I thought I’d give it a go.
