A few months ago I won a twitter competition for some free Soap & Glory goodies which I was very excited to receive in the post. Clean on Me was already a firm favourite of mine, having received it many a Christmas and I love the creamy texture and subtle scents. I also find these bottles last for absolutely ages which is always a massive bonus.
It’s been a crazy couple of months for me and with wedding planning started to get into full swing I thought it might be time to really start trying to look after my skin. I already have a great skincare routine I love, but I wanted to try a few of the things I’d been putting off and one of these was trying out a face mask for the first time. I know, I know, that’s crazy… but for some reason I had it in my head that using face masks would bring me out in spots. In all fairness this isn’t 100% untrue.
If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know that I was invited to a Benefit Cosmetics event on 27th March in Brighton. I was so excited when I received the email as I love Benefit Cosmetics so a chance to go along to an event of theirs was a bit of a dream come true. The invite promised talks from the lovely Lola Hoad and Tashie Tinks, as well as lots of bubbles and an appearance by the gorgeous BrowMobile… and it certainly didn’t disappoint! I didn’t know anybody else going to the event but I do find this forces you to talk to people and I met some really lovely girls. (I did also realise afterwards that I already followed a few of the people I saw around but didn’t chat to #oops)
I love Benefit, you love Benefit, everyone loves Benefit… so when I got the Benefit Most Wanted Mascara Line-up set for Christmas (how long ago was that?!) I was over the moon. I’d used the BADgal lash before and had heard amazing things about Roller Lash so I was really excited to try this out. What I was really interested in though was being able to directly compare all 3 of their mascaras against each other… so without any more further-ado…
Ever since I was young I have adored Chanel. The effortless timeless chic nature associated with the brand is something I find quite magical and for years I have wished for some Chanel in my life. It all started with a lipstick when I was a teenager that I bought in duty free – I don’t think I’d ever felt so grown up. The legacy attached to the classic Chanel N°5; the beautiful bottle, the history made it almost irresistible to me in the past. However, the smell itself just wasn’t for me. So, when Chanel announced last year that they were going to be releasing a new version of the perfume, with a lighter airier feel for a younger and more modern audience I couldn’t contain my excitement.
Today’s post is basically just me raving about how much I love the Zoella Hungry Hands hand cream. The minute I saw Zoella had released a GINGERBREAD scented hand cream I just knew this would be a festive must. Gingerbread has got to be one of my absolute favourite things about this time of year and the idea of having my hands smell of it was too much to resist.
There’s nothing quite like a mini LUSH haul at Christmas time! In today’s post I’m going to round up my top 5 picks this festive season and I’m not going to lie, there may be a bit of a pink theme going on!
