Over the past few months I’ve been trying to pay much more attention to what I’m eating and putting in my body. Now, don’t get me wrong… I’m still all about treats but am trying to take a more ‘everything in moderation approach’ so that I can enjoy these even more.
As you may know, I love a subscription box so when I found out about Ethical Kitchen, I couldn’t pass up the chance for coffee, chocolate and snacks delivered to my door.
One of the main highlights for me about this box is that everything in it is ethically sourced. It’s so easy in our busy lives to forget stuff like this, but I enjoyed all these treats so much more knowing that they came from a fair source. But, even better than this, they give 50p from the sale of every box to charity!
Now, the snacks…
PRIMAL PANTRY APPLE & PECAN RAW PALEO BAR
I had this to replace my usual mid-morning snack and really loved it. Primal Pantry produce all their bars in the UK and are completely gluten free, dairy free and vegan. I really enjoyed the warm cinnamon flavours in this and definitely want to try more flavours in the future.
RUDE HEALTH: THE PUMPKIN
I LOVE anything pumpkin so I was really excited to try this one and it didn’t disappoint. It really did have (albeit very healthy) vibes of a pumpkin pie.
OMBAR RAW CACAO BARS
I loved all of these with the Blueberry & Acai one my personal favourite. The bars are a perfect size and the tangible feeling of the packaging gives it a real luxury edge.
SQUIRREL SISTERS CACAO ORANGE
These are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and with no added sugar and everything you want from an energy bar. Love the orange zest with the chocolatey flavours.
HIPPEAS ORGANIC CHICKPEA PUFFS
These have a delicious flavour of Paprika spice and smoked sea salt plus a little bit of onion. They’re sweeter than I expected but this was actually a really pleasant surprise and at only 91 calories a bag perfect for a quick snack in the afternoon.
I was sent the Sanctuary Espresso blend as an aeropress grind which has hints of chocolate, stone fruits and toffee. I’m by no means a coffee expert, but this is definitely one of the best I’ve ever tried and might have to become my go-to coffee in the future. With its origins in El Salvador & Brazil, Redroaster coffee is then roasted in the heart of Kemptown, Brighton which makes it extra special.
There are 2 types of subscription boxes you can get:

I really enjoyed my box and would love to try more of the snacks in the future! I particularly loved getting new coffee to try and with this changing every few months seems like a great way to discover new companies! #EatTreatsChangeLives
