Paradiso Bar & Dining, Brighton

Last Wednesday I had the loveliest evening with some of my favourite girls, catching up and chit-chatting at Paradiso Bar & Dining, which has just opened up at 38 Preston Road in Brighton!

Paradiso pitch themselves as a relaxed and casual dining space where you can come down, have a drink and eat some food and it certainly delivers on all of the above. Currently sporting an introductory menu of mainly burgers and sandwiches it’s the perfect place for a quick get-together with friends. They also have a good selection of beers and most importantly a great cocktail menu with something for everyone.

The space itself has a really cool vibe to it. It’s very simple but well finished and the natural materials combined with the pops of colour give it lots of warmth whilst keeping it’s minimal look and feel. I love that most of the seating is in the form of booths as…

  1. I’m a complete sucker for booths
  2. I love the idea of a group of friends squishing into one
  3. So so so so comfy

All of the sandwiches and burgers come with a massive portion of fries along with a choice from a selection of homemade sauces which I felt was a nice touch. I had a classic burger which was stacked with delicious cheese and shredded lettuce and had a real sense of comfort food about it. There was nothing particularly fancy about it, just good honest food. I found myself really full by the end of the meal and at £10 for the burger and fries it was really good value for Brighton, especially when considering the quality.

The real highlight for me though were the cocktails. I love a cocktail anyway and I really enjoyed the simplicity of my Pink Gin Sour. With a very light pink colour and a simple slice of lime this cocktail was a very pretty treat, really refreshing and had the perfect sweet/sour balance.

I had a great time at Paradiso Bar & Dining and really look forward to seeing it grow in the future. It feels like the perfect place for friends to catch up after work where you can enjoy that easy relaxed vibe so often overlooked by other bars/restaurants. I’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to work my way down more of the cocktail menu!
