Something very exciting has happened to my little town. Small Batch has come to Worthing! For those of you that don’t know, Small Batch is a Brighton based company who make the most delicious cups of coffee and do everything from your standard Cappuccino to a more exotic single brewed origin coffee. Whatever you chose, all their coffee is delicious. Since opening a shop in Worthing and becoming wildly more convenient for me and Adam, we’ve been there a lot.
We haven’t had a chance to have much of their fancy stuff yet, but that doesn’t matter because everything from their Cappuccinos to their Hot Chocolates tastes amazing. I was particularly impressed with the autumn leaves design on my first cup. (I love little details like this!) Small Batch really eat, breathe and sleep coffee, helping produce and roast the coffee they serve themselves. They do this, funnily enough, in small batches to ensure they maintain the freshness of the coffee. It’s also really important to them to follow their coffee from farm to cup, building long-term relationships with producers.
You can also pick up some really high quality sandwiches, which you can choose to have either hot or cold, with the Pastrami pictured above a huge favourite. The Spiced Parsnip Cake I tried the other day was also so so so yummy. What I quite like about their food, is it’s quite unassuming to look at but packs a punch where it counts; the taste. To be honest, I haven’t had anything bad there yet.
We’ve been attempting to try as many things as possible so we also made sure to sample one of their teas, which was Cinnamon Chocolate Chai if I remember correctly. I found this surprisingly wonderful as it was so lovely and warming but with a really subtle flavour. This is particularly helpful for me as Adam doesn’t love coffee so a good selection of other drinks means he can enjoy it too!
Basically, I couldn’t be happier that we now have a Small Batch so close to where we live and am excited for all the fancy coffee I’m going to be able to drink! If you haven’t tried Small Batch, I’d really recommend it. They have a variety of shops all across Brighton and Hove and the staff are the friendliest I’ve ever come across. You can also buy their coffee from their online store.
Have you tried Small Batch Coffee? Do you have a favourite coffee shop you just love? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks so much for reading!
