I didn’t manage to get my Sunday post up today so I thought I’d do a quick GET TO KNOW ME instead!
Last Saturday I had the most autumnal day possible with coffee in the morning, a nice autumn walk and a trip to Slindon to pick up some pumpkins. It may not quite be a pumpkin patch where you can pick your own, but in a way it was better than that due to just the vast variety of pumpkins, gourds and squash available. Slindon just seems to be really pretty anyway, with loads of the houses covered in leaves and quaint little paths to walk down. Every year for charity, Slindon Pumpkins creates a pumpkin display that you can come and view (for free if you wish) and it really was impressive. This year the charity is Sussex Wildlife Trust and depicted flowers with bees buzzing around them.
This Saturday I went to my first ever blogging event, hosted by The Bloggers Hub in association with Bloggers Who Brunch. It was in this amazing Soho apartment just off of Oxford Street and I just had the best time! I was a little bit nervous beforehand as I’d never been to anything like this before, yet alone on my own, but once I got there I felt instantly relaxed. Everyone was really really lovely and it was so nice to find out about everybody’s blogs and talk about our individual passions.
There’s been lots of baking going on at home this week, as it’s finally getting darker and that bit more chilly. I don’t know if this is particularly traditionally autumnal, but I do tend to drink more coffee at this time of year so it is for me at least! So, I thought I’d share this Coffee & Walnut Cupcake recipe with you, which is adapted from here.
With Autumn now in full swing, I thought I’d write a little post about my favourite parts and why it’s special to me.
I just love the changing of the seasons where the weather starts to get that bit colder and the colour of the leaves start to change. This is probably the time of year I actually go on the most walks because I love it so much – nothing beats wrapping up warm on a chilly day. I’m also very lucky that Sussex has some of the most beautiful places to visit.
Cinnamon buns, cinnamon candles, cinnamon bagels… give me all the cinnamon.
One of the biggest changes I’ve made to my life in the last year is starting a proper skincare routine. I’ve never had awful skin but since I started caring for my skin properly it just feels so much healthier and when I do get a spot it disappears so much quicker. Today, I’ve written a little post about my skincare routine and some of my favourite products.
