My next Autumn favourite is my Oatmeal & Raisin Cookies because they’ve got all those warm autumnal flavours without being overpowering. These are just so great for whipping up in a hurry and keeping stored away in a tin for an unexpected guests that pop by. Their rustic nature also really lends itself to autumn… I feel nothing ever looks properly finished in autumn time. Maybe that’s just me. Anyway, recipe for these is below!
Bit of random post today! I just felt really inspired to write about this book The Art of Thinking Clearly. I had a cosy afternoon in the other day and when looking for something to read, came across this favourite from my bookshelf. As someone who is criminally indecisive, this book has really helped me try and focus my mind and hopefully make better/more informed decisions.
The book is broken down into small snippets of advice, usually about 3-5 pages long. The one that particularly spoke to me was Why You Should Forget The Past (Sunk Cost Fallacy).
This is an excerpt from it:
The sunk cost fallacy is most dangerous when we have invested a lot of time, money, energy or love in something. The investment becomes a reason to carry on, even if we are dealing with a lost cause. The more we invest, the greater the sunk costs are, and the greater the urge to continue becomes.
One of my biggest passions in life has got to be gift wrap. In fact, I keep a few boxes of gift wrap and accessories stored away for whenever a last minute gift needs that extra sparkle. I find it really helps show the recipient that you put thought into their gift and adds to their anticipation of opening it. Plus, I just love a pretty present! I’ve compiled a list of my essentials below…
Autumn is here! Hands down my favourite season if you just ignore all of the sideways rain promptly coming our way… but I just love a cozy jumper and the seasonal flavours of this time of year. The leaves falling down… It reminds me of books I would read as a child.
Welcome to my September Stationery Haul!
For me, September means it’s new stationery season – it always reminds me of going back to school. I just loved it when my mum would take me to WHSmith and I’d stock up on a monstrous amount of smelly gel pens, notebooks and novelty erasers. With this in mind, every September I make sure to treat myself to a little splurge on new stationery for the year and I’ve selected my favourites to share with you!
I just wanted to take a moment out of my day to tell everyone about Boomf.
Boomf create marshmallows with your photos printed on them – which might be one of my favourite creations ever. My sister Harriet got me these for my Birthday this year and I was majorly psyched because, quite frankly, who doesn’t want marshmallows with their face on?
I apologise to all my friends and family in advance but you will all be receiving these for your birthdays and special occasions for the foreseeable future.
